The Hart County Adult Learning Center building provides our county with access to

state of the art training and meeting facilities.

Classes

Our classrooms contain networked computers and internet access.

We also have projection screens available for use with overheads or our LCD projector for use with a computer.

Meeting Rooms

Our meeting rooms are quiet and comfortable. The rooms have a range of seating capacity available.

 

Community

The Hart County Adult Learning Center is available or our community.

We support our citizens through layoffs, skills, updates and leisure learning.

If you need an equivalency to your high school diploma, we offer the GED program.

If you have recently been laid off and are in need of retraining, we can help.

Business

Our Center is available for local businesses.

Our desire is to collaborate with local businesses to train their employees.

Our beautiful facilities are available to our community when our schedule permits.

Our History

The Nancy Hart Literacy Council (NHLC) is a 501 c3 corporation whose purpose is to support and assist in the development, maintenance and operation of the Hart County Adult Learning Center. In 1995 the NHLC was named as a Certified Literate Community Participant for Hart County.

Our mission:

  • To provide free literacy services to adults
  • To encourage an support literacy by providing help in the areas of reading, math, language, and writing
  • To provide tutoring fro adults with reading levels from 0 to 8.9 grades (Literacy level I & II)
  • To assist students seeking a GED
  • To assist preparation and computer literacy
